Waiting for harpazo

The next event in God’s prophetic calendar is, I believe, the removal of His people, the Church, from the world. This event is known by most as “The Rapture”.

I recommend listening to the teachings of Chuck Missler, whose ministry is called Koinonia House. You can find recordings of his lectures on YouTube and Soundcloud, but I recommend purchasing them and sharing them with friends and family, if you are able. It would probably be best to begin with his lectures on the Book of Revelation, then move to Daniel, then Ezekiel.

After the rapture, expect to see the revealing of the PseudoChrist, or the Gog-Magog invasion of Israel next (perhaps both at the same time). As an aside, it is fascinating to me that the Muslim view of the End Times is a mirror image of what the Bible teaches. Here is a sermon by John Macarthur discussing Muslim End Times.  Basically, Muslims will see the PseudoChrist (Antichrist) as the real Servant of God. The “Jesus” that they claim walked the earth 2000 years ago, but that was not crucified or resurrected, will return to explain that the Christians were worshipping a false Jesus. This false Jesus will return to earth, and will be destroyed by the Muslim PseudoChrist.

In any case, expect a combining of Islam and Christianity, led by the Church in Rome, after the Harpazo of the true church.

The Gog-Magog invasion also happens soon after the Harpazo, in which the invaders are destroyed. See Ezekiel, chapters 38 and 39 for a description of this event, and the aftermath. The reader can infer that a nuclear exchange is described, based on the actions of the survivors. They wait seven months before cleaning up the destruction, and hire specialists to do so. People who aren’t specialists, when they see human bones, won’t try to bury them, but will rather put up a sign, so the specialists can come along later and deal with them.

It is written in Revelation that, at one point, the pain of God’s judgements will be so great, that men will seek death, and not find it. It may be that God is simply refusing to allow them to die, but I think it is also possible that some of the technology being developed today will account for this phenomenon. The combination of bionic implants and A.I. could be promoted as a way to have “eternal life”, but those that get the implants may find that they don’t have the software updates to override the “no death” option.

The practical results of Marriage redefinition

So many here in the United States enthusiastically supported the Supreme Court’s decision to “legalize” so-called “marriage equality”. They either did not expect or did not care that legally changing the definition of marriage would result in social upheaval. Here is what is going on in Great Britain following their own rejection of definitional marriage.

I imagine that persecuting faithful Christians, Jews, and Muslims is a feature, not a bug, to those who want to impose their version of Newspeak with regard to marriage and sexuality. I even expect, eventually, that laws will be passed to seize the children of religious people, to “protect” the children from their parent’s “bigotry”.

My message to those proponents of marriage redefinition (and gender redefinition, etc.): you will win on this issue, in the short term. Longer term, though, will see your devilry utterly crushed. Not a threat, not a promise, just an observation. Your only hope is to repent of your unbelief, and call on the name of Jesus Christ. His sacrificial death on the cross paid for your sin–and sins–and you do not have to experience God’s holy wrath. I don’t think you have much time, either. Soon, the Church will be gone, and your slim hope for salvation will most likely be through martyrdom.

I’ve been listening to Chuck Missler’s series on the Book of Revelation, and it’s been quite encouraging. I’m not sure I agree with everything he says, but his lectures line up with my own understanding of Scripture, and so I am enjoying them.
