“Conservatives” are liars
Or, at least, are unacceptably ignorant of anything of import. Hey Hotair, Townhall.com, RedState.com: you suck. Don’t lie to me and say you want to “restore the Consitution”, when you make not one mention of the various stories surrounding the NDAA of 2012 and 2013.
Here’s the summary: Rep. Amash proposed an amendment to 2013’s version of the NDAA which would restrict the government from throwing American Citizens in prison without a trial. It got voted down. Only 19 Republicans (you know, the one’s that “care about the Constitution”) voted for the amendment. (first link, above)
On the other hand, a judge has struck down “those sections of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) of 2012 which sought to provide Barack Obama the power to indefinitely detain citizens without benefit of their 5th Amendment rights.” (second link, above)
Don’t lie to me and say you’re for the Constitution, but that you’re comfortable with the President having this authority. Don’t expose yourself as a gullible buffoon by saying that the threat of the President throwing Americans in prison without a trial isn’t real. A federal judge has now struck down those provisions as being unConstitutional. If you weren’t paying attention to this issue, for the sake of your country, start paying attention now. If you aren’t as interested in this story as you are in who Romney might pick as his VP, then you really don’t care about the Constitution at all, you filthy liar.
Reading Hotair, Townhall, etc. is fine, but if you want real conservative news and commentary, go to www.theamericanconservative.com They at least have their priorities straight:
